All Roads Lead to Disney - Day 2

Alright, let's get there already!

We had a great night's sleep, everyone refueled with some coffee and juice boxes, and we headed out as early as we could stand to get up and ready! The kids were both still exhausted from yesterday, so that made the last little bit of the trip so much easier. Jackson watched a couple of movies and Paisley slept a lot of the trip between Tallahassee and WDW. It was really quiet and Tyler and I enjoyed our coffee in peace. Truthfully.... The trip down here could not have gone more smoothly!

So now for the main adventure! ☺️

We pulled into the Yacht Club around 1:15 pm. Check-in could not have been any easier! I had done online check in, and they had everything waiting. We were in our room within 10 minutes of arriving. (Side note: I love Magic Bands! Apparently folks either love them or hate them; mark me in the "love" category!) we used our magic bands to get into our hotel room and the kids were very ready to run around!

I had ordered groceries through Garden Grocer ahead of time, and had gotten a text saying they had delivered them this morning. So, Jackson and I went down to Bell Services to ask about them - and they brought them right to our room! While that was going on, Tyler went and got our luggage out of the car. We put things (kind of) away and headed back out the door! We had adventure to seek!

We went to the lobby of the Yacht Club (so much fun just to hang out there) and had a nice talk with the "Captain" beside the big globe. Jackson told him all about where we live and how to get there, haha!
We also wandered around outside in the pool area and by the lighthouse- lots of fun.
Some of these photos are courtesy of Jackson! :)

We decided to wander over to Epcot, so I switched a few FastPasses around and we did! It looked like a little storm was coming up, and everyone was leaving Epcot like crazy and looking at us like WE were crazy for going in.
We had about 45 minutes until a FastPass at Finding Nemo, so we stopped in at Club Cool.
Club Cool has all kinds of sodas from all over the world, and little cups where you can try them all! Jackson thought it was fun but he was not a fan of this green soda!

We ran towards Finding Nemo as a storm blew up. We got inside just before the bottom fell out of the sky! Stand-by time was only 10 minutes so we didn't even wait on our FastPass time, and walked straight on. Afterwards, we walked straight into Turtle Talk with Crush. Paisley was NOT wanting to sit still so I took her to play in some of the fun areas around the aquarium.
Jackson & Tyler came to find us after Turtle Talk was over.
It still looked like it could rain again when we walked out, so we headed straight up to the Land Pavilion. We were thinking about doing the Living with the Land boat ride but our stomachs were rumbling so we went to the food court inside the Land Pavilion and got some dinner.
After we filled our tummies, we hung out for a while in what used to be Innoventions - I guess it still is called that, but it's not nearly as cool as I remember it being as a kid!
Jackson played some of these games, but it was kinda just a blah pavilion. They really should update it. It did keep us dry and it was nice & cool in there, so that's a plus.

We were still dodging thunderstorms so we ran into MouseGear - always a fun store when you're trying to kill a little time.
Paisley fell asleep while we were in there, so we slowly meandered back toward the Yacht Club to recharge, rest a little, and be ready to head back for Illuminations later.
A couple of hours and a lot of Goldfish later, we headed back out to Epcot for Illuminations. We had to get all decked out in our glow stick apparel!

Both kids loved the fireworks!
And I promise, Tyler did too! I don't think he knew I was taking a picture. Paisley's teething and her mouth is so sore :( And obviously, Jackson is having the time of his life!

On the way back from Epcot, we happened to catch the Frozen fireworks that were happening over at the Hollywood Studios behind the Boardwalk. Right beside us they were playing the movie Frozen on the beach, and everyone was singing along. It was the perfect way to end our first day!
