We were also sort of celebrating me finishing up clinicals... which I am so thankful are over! I can't believe that my college career is officially over... all I have left to do is study for my boards (which I'm starting today while Tyler is working) and walk at graduation! Crazy. Friday was an extremely emotional day for me because I was overwhelmed by the fact that God had brought me this far in my life. Five years ago I was unsure that I even wanted to go to college, and now I'm graduating with my masters. Needless to say, I cried the entire way home just thinking about the faithfulness and greatness of God in my life, and how hard I've worked with Him to get to this point. He has accomplished so much in me in these short five years and it is all for His glory. I have two months reward to enjoy some summer before I have to begin working. Unfortunately, it looks like it's going to storm all day. I was looking forward to the pool.... :(

Celebrations
Yesterday was Tyler's birthday. He had to work all day, but when he got home I had brownies (his choice) and his presents ready for him. Then we went out to eat with my parents at Mike's Place. It was really fun and we enjoyed it a lot. Here's some pictures:

The Final Countdown
One more week... Five more work days... 40 more hours of clinical time... And I'm finished with my college career.
Incredible.
I cannot believe I have come this far in what seems like a short amount of time. It's extremely bittersweet! While I am so thankful for all the blessings the Lord has poured out upon my life over the last 5 years and all the incredible ways He has provided for me and loved on me, it is always a little difficult when you come to the end of a season. I know that God has big plans for our little family over the next few years, and I am so excited to see what's in store! At the same time, I miss the friends I made along the way, the freedom of college life, and studying for hours on end (I know, I'm a dork.)
Bitter and sweet, triumph and tears, heartbreak and healing, the Lord has brought me through this season faithfully and will lead me through the unknown of the next faithfully as well!

Scion XD!
So I got a new car this weekend... yay! It's really a neat little car and it has all the features I wanted. I needed to get something to drive to my new job in Russellville every day and Brennan is taking my old car to Belmont. I'm really a little crazy about it cause it's our first big purchase as husband and wife, as well as it's sort of my graduation present to myself! It's a charcoal gray Scion XD. Feeling better!
I haven't been this sick in a LONG time. It's Sunday morning and I'm just now starting to feel normal again. Thursday afternoon-Saturday afternoon I spent on the couch, I couldn't move. My whole body just felt weak and I couldn't swallow or move my head because it hurt all up into my ears. Praise the Lord, I'm finally feeling better, because I have to finish up clinicals!
I'm about to get up and do laundry and clean the house, which has been sadly neglected the past few days while I've been sick and Tyler's been working. Tyler's in the middle of working 8 days straight. He has this coming Friday off, then works Saturday through Thursday again. But hopefully, after the last week of June, that will slow down and he will no longer have to work weekends. I think they hired someone to fill his position on weekends so as soon as he gets that person trained, I get my husband back. I'm really looking forward to July. I hate to "wish my life away" but I am really really ready for July. I feel like it's last semester all over again, waiting out finals, clinicals, and the wedding (only not QUITE as stressful!!!) Some sunshine, some time with my husband to relax, some studying for my boards, then graduation and vacation. I don't start my job until August 18, so I have essentially two months off, and I can't wait. Only ONE more weekend separates me from my time off. Thank you, Lord, for bringing me this far!

Tonsillitis... and a paycheck!
So, yeah, I've got tonsillitis... which isn't really that fun right now. :( My throat's been hurting for about 2 weeks off and on, but finally it got really really bad, my tonsils are so swollen that at night I can barely breathe or swallow, and my lymph nodes are clearly visible under my neck. I went to the doctor today and got on some antibiotics. So it looks like NyQuil and some ice cream may be in my future.
On the upside for today, I am offically employed as an occupational therapist (pending my license) at River Valley Therapy and Sports Medicine!!! I went to Russellville today and signed all the millions of pieces of paper to make that happen. I'm now the proud recepient of health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance and a 401K, as well as a nice little sign-on bonus (which will soon = a new car!). Here's me with my check:

So what am I going to do now? Well, finish my last two weeks of clinicals (post-tonsillitis of course) and then, I'm going to Disney World!
