It's been a beautiful, magical day here at the hot & sunny Walt Disney World resort, and extra magical because it's my birthday! And let me just add - the birthday button is awesome! No better way to actually feel like a princess than everyone saying "Happy Birthday" to you all day!
Started the day by sleeping until we all woke up, which is pretty magical in itself. We aren't exactly "rope drop" people. If I have to get up and get my crew out the door by 8 am, it's not vacation. So we drank coffee and ate breakfast while watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. We rolled out the door by 9:15 or so.
We made a quick stop in the gift shop for these suckers that Jackson just neeeeded. 
Then we decided to leisurely head over to the Magic Kingdom by way of the Epcot monorail. Being in the World Showcase before they open is so fun - we saw Mary Poppins making her way around the empty Showcase. We hopped on a monorail to the T&TC, switched to a Magic Kingdom monorail, and we were on our way. The kids love riding the monorail! 
Once in the Magic Kingdom, we headed straight for Monsters Inc Laugh Floor, because we had FastPasses. However, the standby line was walk-on so it wouldn't have mattered. The crowds were a little heavier than yesterday and Fantasyland was a little crazy.
After Laugh Floor, we saw that the Mad Tea Party was walk-on so we did that too. 
This is the face that makes it all worth it :)
The Princess is a little harder to impress.
As always, hilarious and makes Mommy dizzy.
We decided to make our way back up Main Street. Paisley was getting tired and hot. The sun was blazing and while her stroller has a canopy, she wasn't into the sun shining right in her face as it seemed to be. The crowds were pretty thick, too, considering it's this time of year. On our way back up Main Street we moseyed through lots of the shops and caught the castle stage show, which currently has Peter Pan and Captain Hook (Jackson's been loving them lately). We also caught the ol' Dapper Dans singing outside the Main Street Emporium! 
We decided to hop on a bus back to the Yacht Club for a little lunch and nap. 
Back at the hotel, Jackson asked me, "Can I just do rest time now?" and Paisley was clapping her hands saying, "night night," so I figured we should go ahead and take a good long nap during the hottest part of the day.
During nap time I snuck down to the poolside to sit in a recliner and soak up the quiet of kids that aren't mine. After naps, we decided to head to Downtown Disney. According to the crowd calculators and wait times, all the parks were packed. Besides that, Jackson had piggy bank money burning a hole in his pocket. To the Lego store we go!
If I'm a princess and the Magic Kingdom is my home, then the Lego store is Jackson's! He was more than thrilled to build his own mini figure and converse with the cast members about which Lego Star Wars set was best and which ones he already owned. 
Literally the only store where the girls are the ones waiting on the guys!
After all the Lego madness, we headed over to World of Disney, which is basically the mothership of all things princess. 
Ah! Paisley and I went to the princess section while the guys headed off to the "boys" stuff. 
Back in the room, everyone was enjoying their new toys and crashed quickly.
Hard to see here but one cast member talked to Paisley for a long time, and talked about how she was decked out in her Minnie gear. Paisley was very interested in her trading pins. She gave Paisley a pin with Minnie parachuting to start trading with! We put it on the stroller for safe keeping. Another cast member gave her a whole bunch of Mickey stickers to keep her entertained. She's had quite the Princess time.
We headed on back to the Lego store to play outside. Paisley was getting antsy and Jackson just "reeeeeeeeallllly wanted to play Legos" so back we went.
After we had gotten the wiggles out, we went a little further down to Once Upon a Toy. Jackson wanted to go inside because of the Toy Story characters. You can make your own Mr. Potato Head, and Tyler and Jackson spent a lot of time picking out the best pieces. Once they figured out that you could pack the pieces into the box as tight as possible, they ended up with almost every "boy" piece available. 
Not sure how well the panorama will do on the blog, but y'all..... This was my perfect evening.
After that, everyone was hungry and we decided that a pizza party on the Boardwalk sounded like a great end to the day. Headed back to the Yacht Club and then out the back doors toward the Boardwalk. It was just getting dark, there was a perfect breeze, and the temp was great. We got pizza at the pizza window on the far side of the Boardwalk, pulled up some chairs and settled in to enjoy a little dinner as it got dark.
Tomorrow, character breakfast and gotta head to Tatooine Traders before Jackson drives us all crazy about it :) We have FastPasses at Hollywood Studios so that's where we will be!
